Up and Down

It seems to be in my mercurial makeup to make a good start on things and be put off by the slightest hiccup. I stopped blogging and having reflected, find that it is because Blogger has removed the spell check function. This is easily surmounted by importing my document from the word processor, but my subconscious would rather sulk. It’s a shame because lots has been going on: minibreak to Cornwall, Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip at the O2 Birmingham, and Richard Herring’s DVD recording in Cardiff. Too late to tell now, except to say that you know you’re old when you get respected in the mosh pit.

Dee is dieting. As of yesterday. I’m not going to dwell on it, I find the conversations that women have about dieting dull. In my adult life, I’ve weighed between 10st11 and 19st2, sizes 12 to 26. With the upcoming medicals and college placements, I think I’ll be adding to the pressures on myself if I’m a sofa dwelling size 20 amongst the eighteen year old size 8 kick boxers. Fear is such a good motivator. I’m aiming to shrink a couple of sizes by September, that’s about 3st. I’m not looking forward to the salad, but there you go. Being well aware that consuming fewer calories than you burn causes weight loss, I bought Slimming World magazine and had some bread and jam. Can’t think why I’m not pounds lighter already.

In other news, it is officially the warmest day this year. Off to the park, avoiding the cake shop, maybe.
