My groceries don’t come from the supermarket any more. They come from my computer. I choose them with my feet on the sofa and my ears tuned to the TV. My eyes focus on the TV too, for the good bits.
I can’t think how it happened. The groceries arrived and we were putting away the cheese, and then there was more cheese, and more again. I needed to order two blocks of mature cheddar cheese to last us around three weeks. I was under the impression that I had. However, I surpassed myself and managed to get a stunning six, 350 gram packets costing almost £14. That is over 10% on what I spent on the whole order.
We have a new family game, the object is to come up with ways of eating up the cheese mountain. Cheese and potato pie, cheese pasty, cauliflower cheese, cheese bread, macaroni cheese, lasagne, baked potatoes with cheese, cheese on toast, cheese toastie (yes it is different so it counts), cheese straws, cheese omlette, cheese sandwich, …..
All join in, but remember; cheesecake doesn’t count, it isn’t made of cheddar.
